Abstract Painting

‘Abstract Painting’ follows Jason’s mundane life as he obsesses over a painting that symbolises freedom to him in the Hugh Lane Gallery. We soon learn that Jason has a criminal past and the only thing that’s stopping him from returning to that life is his love for his wife and the idea of having children with her in the near future. Working as the producer, co-cinematographer, and editor for ‘Abstract Painting’ was challenging but it has been the most rewarding film I have worked on so far. The film deals with the harsh truths of the reality of love and betrayal. I was drawn to the heist elements in the film and how Jason wants a better life for himself even if it’s not morally the right thing to do.
