HOW LONG IS NOW

HOW LONG IS NOW is a transeasonal 2022 collection inspired by the two places that have influenced me the most. The first is my Grandmother`s country cottage farm in the south of Germany, where I spent many happy childhood holidays, which I remember as a sanctuary that holds warm memories for me.

The second is the city of Berlin where I was born and grew up. That city is like an old friend to me, sometimes harsh and sometimes loving, but always honest. I have merged traditional textures such as wool, cashmere and raw denim with a cool urban street-style inspired by the modern architecture of Berlin. Heavy organic indigo denim meets light flowing silk in light earth tones. Signature details include hand-dyed print techniques that use the natural waste from vegetables such as rhubarb, avocado and beetroot. The print itself reveals beautiful filagree shapes from delicately decaying flora. This process of dying is completely natural and therefore sustainable, circular and anti-allergy.

These soft organic pieces contrast with workwear-inspired denim with graphic topstitching taken directly from Berlins` U-Bahn train station maps. Pieces are designed to last a lifetime with adjustable detailing for adaptive looks, styling and sharing amongst friends.
