For this project I am exploring the reuse of the chocolate factory into a multi-disciplinary office for a group of designers and a brewery. My concept is inspired by reincarnation, giving the building new life and looking at a light colour pallet to reflect the rebirth of the building. The space planning and layouts are based off of research and interviews with designers, brewers and office goers to gain a true understanding of what was needed for the spaces and how best to apply it. This led to a lot of flexible and universal design throughout the building and some solutions that I would not have come up with, without. The design style is somewhat minimal with a strong lean towards Scandinavian and traditional Japanese design elements. I felt these styles best reflected the concept, with a lighter colour pallet and wooden features with a lot of calming natural features.
