Balance Project

This project turns the Chinese education centre into a multi-functional work-life balance centre. The proposal includes a Café, Working / Study area, Gym, Indoor Garden, Indoor playground, and an indoor waterfall. The selected functions encourage people to develop a better work-life balance. The main feature design is the indoor waterfall inspired by my thesis research on Biophilic Design. When people spend time in this building they can see, listen to, and feel the sound of water, which can improve their mental health. The existing interior spatial planning have been changed by demolishing existing walls and add new walls and floors in order to provide the necessary space and facilities needed. My slogan is “work hard and play hard”.
